Dutch:: is… flat land

Entrance:: when entering my home you will notice… That there are too many jackets hanging in the hallway.

Keecie05

Style:: means… Originality.

Inspiration:: comes from… cycling in the evening and looking in to houses, Dutch people tend to leave their curtains open. It is like looking into small paintings.

And nature, I love looking at trees.

Keecie07

Gourmet:: is… It is always nice to have a good meal together with good conversation.

Keecie04

New:: in my home is … All this daylight ever since they tore down the building in front of our house.

Keecie02

Hobby:: I always make time for… Drinking coffee and reading magazines or newspapers during the weekend.

Keecie06

Make:: I start creating when… I'm riding the train, at night, I always have a small note book in my bag.

Outfit:: my favorite thing to wear is… My secretary's dress, have it for years.. always good!

Keecie01

Enjoy:: I can't live without… Boyfriend, family, friends and of course Keecie.

…………….Thank You Klaartje…………………..

The beautiful images above are from the home of Klaartje de Hartog and interior designer, Stijn Bertens from NERF. And were made by photographer Roel Roscam Abbing. Klaartje is a Dutch designer who together with Caroline Borger started the funky accessories label, Keecie, in 2006.

Keecie's first designs were these super lovely leather animal cases… perfect for using as a wallet. The cases became very popular and it encouraged Klaartje and Caroline to expand their label with more beautiful bags, wallets and this beautiful USB case. You can buy them online at their shop or over at BijzonderMooi.

    Those vintage stacked clocks are sooo cool – and that’s an excellent excuses for not being on time :)
    Love the printed drinking glasses of the 3rd image as well!

    Love the “Kitchen” print… and I love how you go “House” shopping – kind of like window shopping – except you are looking into the houses :)

  3. Melanie

    Beautiful, beautiful home. I love the built in bookcases and the Penguin classic poster.

  4. XyQ

    I love Keecie: The bird and cat change purse is sweet: it’s like being told a secret every time you open it up for change.

  5. Canada Flowers

    All the photos that have a vase of flowers feel like conniving at one another to make the rooms fantastic the most subtlest way. Reminds me of Paul Thomas Anderson’s work and some bisaya short films. Good job.

  6. EP

    I like those wall-mounted shelves in the desk shot! Anyone know where to get something like this in the US?

  7. Arlene

    What a beautiful home! Please, please tell me where to get a similar Penguin Cooks poster.

    Thanks!
