Some Books for the weekend…

Books

Instead of a ‘some things I liked this week…’ post I would like to share some books that are laying next to me on my desk … waiting for me to read and browse through them… all I can give you know are some snap-shots I made of the books and share my first impressions with you…

Perfecthomes

The first book is “The Perfectly Imperfect Home” by founding editor in chief of (former) domino magazine Deborah Needleman and illustrated by Virginia Johnson. And all the  ‘illustrations’ througout the book make the book so special and different from me from all the ‘photo’-books. It leaves a lot to the imagination … and if you weren’t a fan of Virginia Johnson‘s work yet  I’m sure you will be after having seen this book.

The book is probably available in your local bookshop but online you can find it here at Random House.

Book number two today is a must have for all you DIY lovers. The bible from the queen of crafts herself, Martha Stewart, “Handmade Holiday Crafts: 225 Inspired Projects for Year-Round Celebrations”. Like all the things she does this book is full with beautiful images, very well and easy explained projects and a good source of inspiration, categorized per  special events througout the year, Valentine, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year…

You can buy it here at the Martha Stewart’s website.

And book number 3 just before the weekend starts is:  “hers, design with a Feminine Touch” by Jacqueline deMontravel. A perfect title for a beautifully styled and photographed book… perhaps not so much my personal decoration style.. Im more of a scandinavian style type of girl, but I really love the ‘girly’ and feminine ideas for a home that you also need in different styled type home, like mine… Nice party ideas for being the perfect host or how to spicen up your bath- and or bedroom! I’m sure you will like this book too.

Available right here at Random House.
