Smallville or Mein Kleines Dorf

Happy to report that Kiet is getting better :) … and we had a lot of fun this morning playing with 'mein kleines dorf' a small wooden village I brought home from Europe during our Christmas trip last December … i had kept in my cabinet for a special occasion and thought today was … I was very happy.

Wooden villages like these are very common in Germany I believe and you can find them at almost every weihnachts market.

Just some links if you would like to buy 'mein kleines dorf' too: here, here and here

Hi – and thanks for your lovely blog.
We have this smallville too. I bought it on a Flohmarkt for kids. It’s really cute and I still have it, although my kids are too old for it now.
I never was sure if the long parts in the box are “streets” or “walls”.
    Have fun with the smallville!

    Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland,

Yes, this is one of our favorites as well, we bought it at, which is a very nice online shop with adorable fabrics, too.

Thank you Irene for your constant inspiration, greetings from Amstelveen :-)

We have this little village too – I think it came in a little bag with a tie up. A gift from grandma for my son when he was 3 and now my daughter who is 3 is enjoying it too.
