Hello, it’s Yvonne from Yvestown here and I’m guest blogging while Irene is with her family in this difficult time.

When Irene asked me to guest blog for Bloesem I asked her if it was ok if I’d do some posts for Bloesem Kids instead. I do not have children of my own and although I don’t have that “tickle” yet to get children (I should hurry up I’m almost 38) I love spending time browsing for kids stuff as it’s so much fun.

Little girls are always associated with the colour pink and a lot of mothers dress their girls in pink. Although pink is my favourite colour I don’t use it as a base colour. I believe that pink should always be a sub colour.

This guide is to give you inspiration how to dress your girl “girly” without using too much pink. ~Yvonne

Thank you! I hate (pale) pink, my daughter too (what a “coincidence”! I helped a little…) and it’s very difficult to find no-pink-girl-things. That’s why i started to sew!

thanks for posting other items than flowery Liberty tuniques and Start rite shoes…. This page is exactly what my daughter (nearly 10) would choose. The Boden jacket is actually on her Christmas list!
