Brittany Bathgate of blog Style and Wellbeing gives us major style envy! Just by mixing classic and contemporary pieces of neutral shades with clean lines.. Simple, yes, but she’s totally rocking it. If you’ve read our latest Bloesem Gazette then you’d have seen our little interview with her where she shared about her inspirations, and tips and tricks about fashion.. Here’s the rest of this style icon’s secrets!
Define your style.
A mix of classic and contemporary (and extremely monochrome).
And your go-to everyday look?
Black straight cut trousers, CDG Play T-shirt and Trainers.
Where do you get your daily fashion inspiration?
Everyday street style around me and Instagram.
Any particular Instagram account? How about fashion blogs?
Some of my favourite Instagram feeds are @kaffeeundtee @deertakescare @shaov @umeromaan @derbysotm @marinalondon. I love shotfromthestreet.com, Lizzy uploads effortless, chic and easy to wear outfits every day. I also like basikattire.com, Leanne photos are always impeccable and she is very much about quality over quantity.
5 pieces of clothing you can’t live without.
Black cigarette trousers, Navy and white long sleeve breton, Levi’s 501 jeans, a crisp white shirt and a boxy white t-shirt.
How about 5 styles of shoes you think everyone should own?
A black lace up oxford, birkenstocks, a classic black ankle boot, white trainers and black trainers
What is your dream brand to work with?
The thought of working on the COS visual team has always been in the back of my mind. Their window displays and visual elements through out the stores are always impeccable!
Something you’re currently obsessing over? Is it from COS as well?
What is one trend item that you will you never wear?
The 70’s trend, it comes round nearly every year and each time I can’t stand it.
So which era of fashion do you admire the most?
I don’t really have icons that I look up to but there a lot of ladies whose style I really admire. Leandra Medine, Sofia Coppola and the Olsen twins.
Thanks again for your contribution to your latest Gazette yet, Brittany!
