Surface pattern designer Jessica Nielsen, known for her bold and colourful graphic style, looks toward nature for inspiration. The prolific Dutch artist has had her works licensed for brands like HEMA, organic lifestyle e-commerce Babongo, Cloud9 Fabrics, and most recently, Korean brand Victoria for their range of kids shoes.
Jessica first started out as a graphic designer and illustrator, but found a love for patterns just in recent years and decided to make the switch in craft. Jessica Nielsen produces both a range of her own self-initiated collection, and commissioned projects, launching five pattern collections each year. We have worked with Jessica a couple of times (she illustrated for the Bloesem Gift Guide last Christmas!) but we can never get tired of her contemporary, timeless works.
Not to forget, she is also featured in our latest and most exciting venture this year, KOEL Magazine Issue 1. Check out her bold and bright coloured graphic pattern sketches being translated into different needlework DIY’s in this debut issue… grab your copy over here!
